Google CEO Larry Page has stated his intensions, Google aims to get more personal and deliver results based on an individual’s personal preferences based on their user patterns, and this is quite a task and will no doubt take some time to deliver.
Page said.
"Engaging with users, really deeply understanding who they are, and delivering things that make sense for them is really, really important. We're at the early stages of that and Google+ is a big effort," said Page during an earnings call Thursday. "This notion of identity is a deep, deep part of what we're doing and an example of how we can make all our products better by understanding people."
Google’s systems already give them a wealth of personal search data, recording their searches, emails and what videos they watch, understanding what makes a user tick is in the forefront of Google’s plans to be able to deliver even better personalised results based on past user data.
Just over a week ago, Google released its latest effort at personalising a user’s browser experience by adding “search plus your world”; this new feature has met some pretty large resistance in the SEO world, with seo experts accusing Google yet again of favouring its own services over natural search.
The CEO responded to comments saying Google remained committed to integrate data to continually better search results for its users.
Larry Page also mentioned several updates for Google products, mentioning that after its poor start Google+ now has over 90 million users up for 40 million in October 2011, Mr Page did not state how many active users are on the site but did say 60% of users are now active daily.
