Google has made some major developments for their YouTube app to coincide with Google TV, one of the main updates is a great new feature called “discovery”, and this lets users browse through categories and channels making the feature a must for any home entertainment fanatics!
Google’s project manager for this new app stated its "faster and easier to find great content, adding YouTube channel pages and giving you more control over your experience." As with all app updates this is also meant to make the app work faster and give a smoother navigation experience to the user.
The latest feature “discovery” is mainly focused making it easier to brown the content on YouTube in a channel surfing nature, giving the user the ability to surf through categories like news, kids, cooking etc.
This great new development also features new channel pages giving the user the ability to browse through playlists and video content on their favourite channels.
Users will also be able to subscribe to channels.
Other smaller improvements also include the ability to see related videos and videos watched recently by the user, with new thumbs up feature you can add any movie or video to your YouTube playlists or even leave your views on the video through the YouTube community.
